row row row your boatrecap: saturday!in the morning val yujia and i went to bedok to watch mich and yitian's race! 
first time watching a dragonboat race, quite exciting and got the cool-cool feeling as they were announcing like the boat lineup and all.. haha
and coz it was ahleong's bday.. so we bought her an umbrella and decorated it. :Peh actually, it was not her bday, coz it's on 10 AUGUST. haha so we nv write "happy birthday" on the umbrella. haha!yitian was like "quick quick, keep the umbrella! so paiseh!" right after we took the picture la
we left after their first event then went to cine to eat lunch. super long bus ride!after that went to holland v to buy stuff for amaria's surprise bday party.it was a really goooood surprise! even though the kidnapping was messed up. haha but amaria was still very much surprised at the whole thing!sone of us hid in the lift with boxes and shirts over our heads in order to conduct the failed robbery.then, alot more surprises, which i find it quite hard to explain in detail. hahaa.so.. in summary: IT WAS A SUCCESS! :P:P:Pthe end. oh a random note: sudden craving for yakult. hahhaaa

"I will move the rock, in due time"
A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room was filled with light and the Saviour appeared. The Lord told the man he had work for him to do and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might.
This the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from sunrise to sun down, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all his might. Each night the man returned to his cabin sore and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain.
Seeing that the man was showing signs of discouragement, Satan decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the man's mind: "You have been pushing against that rock for a long time, and it hasn't budge. Why kill yourself over this? You are never going to move it."
Thus being given the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure, these thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man greatly. "Why kill myself over this?" he thought. "I'll just put in my time, giving just the minimum effort, and that will be good enough."
And that he planned to do until one day he decided to make it a matter of prayer and take his troubled thoughts to the Lord. "Lord," he said, "I have laboured long and hard in your service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing?"
To this the Lord responded compassionately, "My friend, when I asked you to serve Me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all your strength, which you have done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now, you come to Me, with all your strength spent, thinking you have failed. But, is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscular, your back sinewed and brown, your hands are calloused from constant pressure, and your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you have grown so much and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have. Yet you haven't moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push and to excercise you faith and trust in My wisdom. This you have done."
"I, my friend, will now move the rock."

hongkong next week
haha and i feel as if i've only just came back from cambodia.
i can probably make a list of reasons why i don't feel like going to hongkong at this time..
like, nita's (friend from cambodia!) coming over to singapore on the 1st july, and i won't be here
and and.. i won't go on. if not i'll really be making a list of reasons. hah.
BUT im looking forward to.. DISNEYLAND! heard tt it's really fun and i can't wait! weeeee.
and the symphony of lights thingy sounds interesting also!
anw since i'm on the topic of hongkong.. i've watched more than 12 hours of detective investigation files IV since tues..
tt's an average of 4hours per day. oh my i'm getting crazy

ok its been 6 days since im back from cambodia!
so just to sum up the trip in a sentence or so
we were blessed more than we blessed, i was blessed in ways i didn't think i wld be blessed.
and oh man as im typing, this STEFANIE AA is cheating all my feelings that cheater bugger!
get me so excited when she says she's coming back to sg on 8th july
then she tells me she's leaving on 10th july
?!?!?!!!!! that's like less than 3days la that crazy woman!!!
see la i don't feel like typing anymore. anw its lunch time already hahahaa.
and i want to go out to play play playyy but no one to play with but its ok
im gg to continue watching HK serials... in particular: DETECTIVE INVESTIGATION FILES IV.
got L____ K__ inside. whahahahaa that was so long ago but as i watch i know why last time i was like that.. coz in the show he's so cool. HAHHAHAA.
i've a feeling i got alot of grammar mistakes here coz im typing real fast.

more and more people are moving to livejournal!
hahaa but too bad, im still sticking to this blog until my 365th post (one year's worth!)
this is my.. 328th or something like tt. hehh
ok so im leaving for cambodia this coming thursday! that's in four days, and im feeling quite unprepared suddenly.
about the same feeling as last year.. hmmm i think it's the devil trying to stop me! hahahaaaa
anw i think my dad is totally in his own world.
my family went to eat lunch today.. and we were mentioning about how its always quite embarrassing to see the shocked look on the waitress' face at the amount of dishes we order, and how we always gobble up all our food in minutes.
leon talked about locusts eating up all crops,
and my mom talked about scavengers and vultures.
we started laughing about it.
then, my dad talked about eagles flying in the sky......
everyone continued eating.

how much it really means
[Genesis 22]
Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, "Abraham!"
"Here I am," he replied.
Then God said, "Take your son, your only son, Issac, whom you love.. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about."
Early the next morning Abraham got up and saddled his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Issac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about.

Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Issac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. Issac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, "Father?"
"Yes, my son?" Abraham replied.
"The fire and the wood are here," Issac said, "but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?"
Abraham answered, "God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." And the two of them went on together.
When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. But the angel of the Lord called out to him from heaven, "Abraham! Abraham!"
"Here I am," he replied.
"Do not lay a hand on the boy," he said. "Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son."
Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided."

even God was worthy enough for Abraham to sacrifice his only son. that's how much God meant to Abraham. and God provided another way. The Lord Will Provide.
and the Lord provided.
God sacrificed His one and only son, Jesus to die on the cross for out sins. the lamb of God. our Jehovah Jireh.
this is how much i mean to God, how much he loves me and how valuable i am to him that He did not withheld his son whom he loves and righteous in His sight.
and as i read the book "Where is God when it hurts?", i am also reminded of all the pain that Jesus endured on the cross. i can't even imagine how painful it will be, it must have been unbearable beyond belief.
i can't stop reflecting on this. i can't get over what He has done for me. and this calls for a much more greater response from me for a God who is more than worthy
